CVPC Mission Committee exists as part of God's work of grace to make disciples of Jesus, to cast and cultivate in Jesus' people Jesus' vision for the nations.  Cultivating Jesus' vision for the nations among his people unavoidably casting and cultivating a burden and a vision for our neighbors. The Mission Committee seeks ways, therefore, to connect God's people with Jesus' mission by creating opportunities for God's people to cross cultural boundaries to love others. Such boundaries may be socio-economic boundaries, educational boundaries, racial boundaries, or even geo-political boundaries. Currently this involves:

  • establishing and cultivating personal and ministry relationships with individuals involved in God's Kingdom Mission in other parts of the world, whether within or beyond  the United States.
  • facilitating the congregation's involvement in a nearby senior and disabled living apartment complex.
  • organizing our annual Missions Festival in February during which we learn about, celebrate, and learn how we may participate in God's Worldwide Kingdom Mission, from outside our front doors even to opposite sides of the globe.
