• At CVPC we seek to be God-glorifying, Christ-centered, Spirit-guided, Gospel-shaped, and Lifestyle-forming in our worship.
  • The particular Worship that is offered by any given congregation of Christ's people on any given Sunday is but a part of a Great Round of worship that encircles the globe from the rising of the sun to its setting, and continues that Great Chorus of Worship from throughout history;
  • Our music and hymns seeks to draw from and reflect and contribute to this Worship that involves people from every nation, tribe, and language and stretches throughout history.  For this reason our Worship services include hymns, instruments, and styles from throughout church history;
  • Each particular person gathered on any given Sunday is an essential part of our worship together; therefore, we seek to identify, encourage, and bring to bear the gifts with which the Spirit has blessed them.
  • Our liturgy is shaped by the Gospel: our Father, by His grace, gathers us and calls us to worship; we gather without fear, but with joy because we gather as His beloved children in the name of Jesus; because of His great redemption accomplished, we are free to fully confess our sin, publicly and privately, together and to marvel and rejoice together in the prodigal pardon that is ours through Jesus; we feast together upon the gift of His Word, gathering monthly around his Table; we give of our Time, Talents, and Treasure in gratitude for what has done and is continuing to do; and we rejoice to receive His blessing by which he continues His work in us and through us in the world around us.
